Washington State University Applied Sciences Laboratory

Working with ASL

In 2004, the Institute for Shock Physics (ISP) established the Applied Sciences Laboratory (ASL), a Spokane-based contract-research organization, with support from the Office of Naval Research. As the applied research component of ISP, ASL builds on more than half a century of scientific excellence. ASL integrates multidisciplinary activities in the physical sciences and engineering to undertake a broad range of applied research projects for corporations and government agencies.

The ASL team of entrepreneurial scientists and engineers conduct multidisciplinary research and combine experimental, theoretical, and computational activities to address practical applications. High-quality, innovative research is conducted in partnership with business, government, and other academic organizations.
